Police Department
The Gilberts Police Department protects the Village around the clock. Officers patrol the neighborhoods, respond to calls, investigate crimes, and work with residents to keep Gilberts a safe place to live.
The non-emergency line is staffed 24 hours a day. Use it for anything that isn't a life-safety emergency — a noise complaint, a parking question, or to file a report.
What we do
- Patrol Village neighborhoods and respond to calls for service.
- Investigate crimes and follow up on reports.
- Enforce traffic laws and improve safety on Village streets.
- Run community programs and answer residents' safety questions.
- File and release police reports and records on request.
- Coordinate with Kane County and nearby departments on larger incidents.
Emergency? Call 911. If someone is hurt or in danger, or a crime is happening now, always call 911 first. The 847-428-2131 line is for non-emergencies only.
